Is tyler perry funny to black folks?

He has some moments, a giggle but not a franchise worthy like Madea. perry connects Christianity for the audience acceptance, he's clearly gay.....It's so cliche, it makes my mind numb. I watched two movies and concluded that my crotch has better ideas. I still wonder why does the black community allow his humor to continue ?
